Zermatt or Cervinia. Under the Matterhorn Italian Side

Where is this one of the Matterhorn painted from Cervinia or Zermatt ? If you haven’t viewed the Matterhorn from this side you may not appreciate how the shape of this classic mountain changes from different viewpoints. You only get its classic pyramid shape from the other side of Zermatt and the valley itself. This is from above Cervinia setting off from the chairlift set under the towering Matterhorn and right below the Italian / Swiss boarder. It’s a really stunning painting with lots of colour, texture and a real free feel with some skiers and boarders setting off to ski back to cervinia.  Acrylic on canvas 50cm x 50cm x 1.7cm
