Pete has been skiing since he was 3, with a very early years trip to Norway, then Austria and France. Passionate about skiing and snowboarding Pete likes to try them both depending on the conditions.
Pete has been painting his ski art paintings since 2010 and has been selling his ski prints and ski posters with Fine Art America for over 15 years.
He spends much of his winter in the snow and the mountains enjoying the beauty and exhilaration of the frosty air. He rarely paints while he is in a ski resort as he suffers from severe lift turning anxiety and a powerful emotional complex of ski and snowboard detachment shock between lift opening hours. When he is in resort he has instantaneous claustrophobic anxiety disorder if he is not let out to play on his favourite skis or snowboard. This terrible disorder becomes life threatening when new snow is falling exaggerating the fresh powder syndrome where he is best left alone to carve out his fresh turns and marks in the snow to create the best painting you can ever make.
Its a very hard life he has chosen and when he is forced to return to the flat lands of England, he makes do with the nearby surf beach next to his studio and fits in painting nocturnally when neither snow or surf is present.
