Wengen Ski Painting under the Eiger

Painting Description

Wonderful ski painting of the Fallboden chairlift under the gaze of the towering Eiger mountain. A really interesting composition of the disappearing chair or more of a Russian Doll of Chair lifts with the lone couple in the far chair slotted inside the others. Zoom in to look. Ultramarine blue sky. Blacks, blues and neutrals make up the scrub and the trees as you glide overhead, back to the top for another cruise back down. My visit to this resort of Wengen and over to Grindelwald was such a treat. Beautiful Alpine villages set on a stunning mountain side with views of epic proportions all around. The best mountain network railway I have ever seen and a historic setting unspoilt by the modern car. Just an incredible visit made all the more special by the Eiger mountain and its climbing folklore with the railway cut into the North Face……its just unbelievable.
