Ski paintings at Val d’Isere – The Face

Painting Description

When I am in Val d’Isere, this is one of my favourites. It has a lovely feel at the top as you glide down the upper sections of the piste and then after a few sweeping turns you always have to stop at the top of The Face which is so wonderful and steep and goes straight down into Val. Its a real beauty and especially with some fresh snow on top. A coffee at the bottom is an added treat in one of my most favourite coffee places, the Sun Cafe / Bar. Great fun painting with the Gondolas high overhead and the snow clouds retreating behind the mountains as sun and blue sky approaches.
