Lake District Art Paintings Collection Part I

Lake District Paintings of the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world. I love mountains and I love to walk and ski in them. My favourite place in England to go is the Lakedistrict particu;arily around Grasmere and Glenridding. Since I was in my early teens visiting the Lake District has been a wonderful treat.

When I was a child we would visit twice a year and stay in a family friend’s house with a group of very fun friends and every evening an “expedition” to another new peak was mapped out. Morning tea arrived at 6.30am and breakfast was at 7am making a well organised departure to the mountains with an early car drop if necessary to the other end of a longer walk. 

We stayed in a very beautiful grand house at the head of Ullswater in Patterdale right under the approach to High Street and round the Lake into Matterdale.
