Painting Description

If there is one thing etched in my mind from Colorado and in particular Aspen are the stunning aspen trees with the creamy bark and whispering foliage spreading to oranges and yellows in Spring. Its a different Aspen to the one we get in Europe and makes for a stunning painting with the elegant trunks and high branches. You wouldn’t think it but it is a wonderful tree to ski through compared to many trees I have skied, snowboarded, photographed and painted over the years. Its just so beautiful. This is a wonderful, loose and simple painting with compelling blue sky day sky. Acrylic on canvas 40cm x 50cm x 1.7cm
