Painting Description

Heading down into Aspen Ski resort after an early morning blast ready for coffee or maybe a bit more? The frost is just still clinging to the trees hanging with some light snow from the day before. You should recognise this Gondola, the Silver Queen Gondola opening up a great area of the mountain. Aspen and Birch woodland with some conifers and Larch in the mix to make a wonderful wooded scene glowing with golds, yellows and greens lit up by the sun shining off the snow covered branches. Acrylic on canvas 70cm x 50cm x 1.7cm. Some great areas of texture in the snow on the piste and branches of the trees with the mountains in the distance beyond.
