Choucas Piste II Morzine Ski Painting

Painting Description

Fresh snow from the day before blanketing the trees and glorious sunshine to light the way. Choucas piste just above Morzine and Les gets in the beautiful Charniaz secteur or Portes d Soleil. This is a painting I really love. Huge lolloping trees in the foreground with tiny skiers heading down the long piste which just sucks you into the mountains beyond just above Morzine. Use the zoom feature with mouse over or hover to see all the wonderful abstract detail and texture in the big trees at the start of the piste. Heavy shadows emphasise the change in light as you drop out of the glistening white mountain scape with twinkling sunlight on sparkly snow, down into the all enveloping shady woodland secteur, with long shadows and peace among the trees as you cruise gracefully by.   Acrylic on canvas 100cm x 80cm with lots of texture and semi abstract patterns in the trees.
