Tignes Ski Painting. Grande Motte glacier at Tignes and Val d’Isère. Great colours and textures with the skiers and boarders in 3d texture. Setting off from the top of the Grande Motte Cable Car ready to ski and snowboard down the most amazing glacier I know. Reminds me so much of this epic place, at the top of the Grande Motte Glacier above Tignes and Val D’Isere where the world appears to end in a snowy peak set just an arms length away. Take a look over towards Les Arcs in the distance before setting off down the glacier. Powder snow blowing across your boots and the big expanse of the piste opens up. Hunting for powder on the glacier and then off to Leisse and back up for a coffee.  Acrylic on block canvas 100cm x 50cm x 4.5cm with the image painted around the edge of the canvas.
