Helvellyn Striding Edge Lake District Painting by Pete Caswell in oils on a very large canvas. Full of colour and the vibrant atmosphere of Pete’s amazing paintings. Lots of colours and textures. Heading down off the top of Helvellyn dropping down onto the craggy striding edge with Bleak Red Tarn below to the left and in the distance Ullswater. Use the zoom feature with mouse over to see all the detail. Oil on canvas 1.2m x 1.5m on canvas but this is not stretched. I have it hung from the top by an oak batton and also one at the bottom which hangs it on the wall. Shipped as a rolled canvas with the batons detached so they need re attaching on delivery. Its quite simple as they just clamp on either side of the canvas by tightening the bolts. This is part of a series of larger paintings I am doing and they are too large to ship easily so this rolled method is a much better way to ship them. You can also stretch them onto stretcher bars if you like at a good framers and frame in a normal frame.
