Painting Description

Ski Painting  Matterhorn from Zermatt in Switzerland. This is taken from the piste from Riffelalp to Furi above Zermatt with the Matterhorn dominating the skyline. Lovely painting of the wooded piste heading down into the valley . The underpainting to this is quite loose and fluid of blues and turquoises. This is one of my favourite Swiss resorts and I particularly loves to stay above the Railway station to capture the atmosphere of this meeting place of the mountain railways with the National railway network and the Swiss border line as you head into Cervinia.  Use the zoom with mouse over to see all the detail.
