Textured Saunton Sunset Painting

Painting Description

Unbelievable rich and deep pure colours  with lines of texture. Purple blue and magenta in deep tones with white yellow and a splash of red to lift the darker colours. I love this one, it has unusual colouring, all the colours are in their pure form and laid onto the canvas with a palletee knife and then scraped back to give the lines of texture which lighten up the painting.  Its based on a sunset from Saunton sands, North Devon near the studio. Oil on block canvas with the painting going round the edge of the canvas  80cm x 40cm x 5cm.
