I have nearly completed this commission of this hot red nude oil painting for a lady client. I always love painting nudes, not just because they are stunning to look at, but it really helps with my painting style. They are so different to paint to the other subjects that I do, so that put me in a different frame of mind. You have to capture the nature of the person in the painting as well as what you see. This helps keep my style and technique fresh and new. Its a real pleasure to paint this one which will be custom framed in a gold frame and shipped off to the customer once I put the finishing touches to it. I was contacted by a lady about his particular nude oil painting for sale but it had sold, to another lady buyer during the summer. Nudes are very popular in these colours as they really look goo d on a wall if you are decorating. Deep reds really are hard to come by in paintings and these work a treat. Any way customer was very keen to have another nude, and this being a favourite of mine, I was only too pleased to paint another. This time it was a bit larger oil painting about 80 cm x 60cm which worked out beautifully on board and framed in a really rich real gold frame. The price was about the same for the commission as a normal painting of that size and it took about 4 weeks to complete. I usually do 2 paintings for a commission so you get a choice of 2 paintings. The lady buyer was very pleased with the finished painting and it was sent of by courier to her the next day.
