After such a beautiful summer here at the studio in North Devon I thought I would share some of the paintings of the area from the beaches of Croyde, Saunton and Putsborough to Ilfracombe Harbour where Damien Hirst new gallery is.
Croyde Beach Painting
The poppies were in an amazing field just down the road from the studio near the dunes and the sunflowers were in a field for pheasant coer up on the foothils of the Moors on the way to Lorna Doone country.
Surf’s up and the suns out so I though I would post some of the wave surf and wave paintings from the last year for you to relish in this amazing weather and wave conditions.

Not a lot of work gets done here when these fantastic conditions arrive for us to enjoy Surf Sand and Sea, what life was made for.

The summer is drawing to an end and the crowds are heading home and North Devon takes a relaxing deep breath as quieter times lie ahead. You can take a beautiful relaxing autumn break in our Gallery Lodges and admire some of the paintings in the Flesh. We have some dates still available in October and November.

Check out the Lodges and some of the amazing food on offer in North Devon. My tip is to bring a bike and take in some of the amazing bike rides in the area. Sailing Sunset Paintings For Sale at the Gallery Lodges
My attention is now starting to turn to the ski season which is now within sight. But before then I will be treating you to some of this seasons favourite Sunsets, Surfing and Sailing paintings.
We have had a super summer with lots of surfing and lazing. Cycle rides through the dunes to take a swim at the near deserted end of Saunton beach have been a real favourite. Its not too late for a swim, with the water staying beautiful and warm for another couple of Months.

Take a look at this collection from this interesting and characterful resort which also hosts the World Economic Forum. We just happened to visit the week before the World Economic Forum and found the scale of the event quite amazing with all the big global names busy turning shops in the town into their global presence for the week to wine and dine the rich and powerful. Sharing a cable car with a squad of Swiss Army comandos all fully armed was quite an experience.

Off piste foray in the trees above Meribel near the Dent Du Burgin chair lift (just above Altiport and Blanchot). Off piste conditions and fresh powder lumped onto the trees make for a great day out thought the lightly wooded off piste with waiste deep powder. Really beautiful painting reminds me of so much fun on this off piste area abobe Meribel. Skiers and snowboarders hidden in the trees and powder. Just below is the Loze lift that takes you back to La Tania and Courchevel.

This season is the first collection of skiing and snowboard paintings from the Les Arcs and La Plagne ski area. I haven’t skied here for a long time and it was as wonderful serene experience, just amazing conditions and weather. The top of Aiguille La Rouge cable car at 3226m was a favourite so I have produced a collection of paintings from this special place. What a place to be.
